The Cluttered Life of Want

Consumerism is taking its toll on closets, bank accounts and bellies all around the world, especially in the Western World. Products, clothes, debt and fat are consuming consumers.

It really boils down to do you need it or do you want it?

Today is the day to shed a tiny piece of the clutter. Take one item in your home and ask yourself if you really need it – maybe an old shirt, shoes, cell phone or something as simple as a pen. You’ll find that you can probably live without it (and you will probably forget it even existed next week).

Try to do this every day, reducing the clutter in your life little by little. Apply this concept to all aspects of your life, like eating, drinking and purchasing. Create a new habit of getting rid of stuff, and eventually you’ll learn the less you consume, the less you have to shed.
