Avoid overusing “ASAP” when making a request to someone. It tells the other person you are not organized; it shows you should have taken care of the issue sooner; it screams, “put me first over whatever else you have going on.”
If you are using “ASAP” more than once a week, it’s probably time to get things in order before ordering someone else. And don’t forget, you probably aren’t the only person in line.
